The best things in the world right now!

                                       Ducati 899 Panigale

899 problems, but a Ducati ain't one

In 2011, Ducati unveiled the 1199 and it took two years for motorbike fans to stop drooling. Well, bibs at the ready... here is the 899 Panigale. Offering the full Ducati superbike experience with more power, reduced weight, ABS and traction control as standard, and all for less cash, this may be the most complete sports bike the Italian marque has ever produced.

The clincher: Although this is more of a road bike than a track bike, it still comes with three different ride settings: race, sport and rain.

                                   2015 Pan American Games logo.svg

Information:
The 2015 Pan American Games, officially the XVII Pan American Games or the 17th Pan American Games, is a major international multi-sport event that is scheduled to be held from July 10–26, 2015, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, with some events held in seventeen other Golden Horseshoe communities such as Hamilton and Markham among others. Approximately 6,000 athletes from 41 nations are expected to participate in 36 sports.[1] The first event, water polo, will begin three days earlier, on July 7.[2] Both the Pan American and Parapan American Games are being organized by the Toronto 2015 Organizing Committee (TO2015). The 2015 Pan American Games will become the third Pan American Games hosted by Canada and the first by the province of Ontario. Previously, Canada hosted the 1967 Pan American Games and the 1999 Pan American Games, both in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The 2015 Parapan American Games will be held twelve days after the Pan American Games.

Following Pan American Sports Organization (PASO) tradition, Toronto mayor Rob Ford and Canadian Minister for Sport Bal Gosal received the Pan American Sports Organization flag during the closing ceremony of the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico.[3]

The 2015 Pan American Games will become the first completely ecologically friendly games, because it will be fully carbon neutral.[4] The Games will also be the largest multi-sport event ever to be held in Canada (in terms of athletes competing), double the size of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.[5]

Thousands flee homes in Kashmir as India-Pakistan clashes spread

Thousands flee homes in Kashmir as India-Pakistan clashes spread
About 6,000 civilians in Indian-controlled region leave homes as intense shelling reported along border

Discription:
Thousands of Indians have fled their homes as fighting between India and Pakistan spread along a 124-mile stretch of the border
Thousands of Indians have fled their homes as fighting between India and Pakistan spread along a 124-mile stretch of the border in the disputed region of Kashmir.
Tension between the nuclear-armed rivals has risen since the Indian prime minister, Narendra Modi, called off peace talks in August and clashes along stretches of their border have been erupting intermittently since October.
At least 10 Indian and Pakistani soldiers and civilians have been killed in fighting over the past week.
About 6,000 civilians in Indian-controlled Kashmir fled from their homes late on Monday as fighting moved to civilian areas, said Shantmanu, the divisional commissioner of Jammu region. About 4,000 left after fighting began last week.
“We had a narrow escape and there is a war-like situation,” Sham Kumar, 54, from Sherpur village said. “Pakistani troops are using long-range weapons. It is the first time we have seen such intense shelling.”
The violence comes days before the US secretary of state, John Kerry, is due to visit India. President Barack Obama is also due to visit India later this month
The US has for years been trying to push the south Asian rivals to build better relations. Mistrust between India and Pakistan is a factor behind conflict in various parts of the region, including Afghanistan.
Kumar said he left his village after a shell landed in a school about two miles from the border.
Indian and Pakistani forces again exchanged gunfire and mortar bombs across parts of their border on Tuesday, an Indian border security force official said.
“The firing is going on and we are giving befitting reply to Pakistani shelling,” the official said.
Pakistani officials were not immediately available for comment.
The rivals, who have fought two wars over Muslim-majority Kashmir, blame each other for the upsurge in clashes since October.

Dave's worst nightmare became a reality when his house was tragically set ablaze by a discarded 9 volt battery. These batteries are normally found in smoke detectors, but can cause some serious damage. They're dangerous because of how close the positive and negative posts are to each other. All it takes for disaster to strike is for the battery to touch a little bit of conductive metal.
Watch the video below to learn how to avoid this from happening to you.

Nexus 6 for T-Mobile will have no branding or bloatware

Motorola Nexus 6 sold by T-Mobile in the United States will not feature carrier branding or bloatware apps. The good news was delivered by Des Smith, the wireless carrier’s senior product manager.

The Big Magenta’s move contrasts with the stance of AT&T on the subject. It became clear last week that T-Mobile’s bigger rival will sell the Motorola Nexus 6 with carrier branding and preloaded applications.

Best Android Phones [November 2014]

 Nexus 6

nexus-6-domino
Moving from the “Rumor Mill” to second place in our list is the long-rumored Nexus 6. If you were lucky enough you will be receiving your Nexus 6 in the next few weeks. This is arguably the best Nexus phone to ever be made, and it’s definitely the most powerful, but one thing held it back from the top spot: size. Not everyone will want a device this big (and it is really big).
